Umbra Buddy Chess Set

The Buddy Chess Set is designed by Wesley Chau for Umbra and what a great design it is. A chess set just begging to be used and so decorative you won’t want to put it away. The iconic Buddy character from Umbra has taken on a new role, several in fact. The cast zinc pieces, each of which show Buddy in a new form, have a velvet base so that the pieces glide easily over the metal game board lid. The pieces, covered in fresh nickel and titanium, stand on the grey and black squared board, which in turn sits on a base made from Ashwood. This box has a hidden storage compartment for the Buddy pieces if you should ever decide to put the set away.
